Modern Women Thinkers WORKSHOP
WOMEN’S LIFE WRITING IN TRANSITION
The event will gather members of Modern Women Thinkers’ research team to discuss intellectual women’s life writing in transition, especially regarding the perceived ruptures, such as were the times of war or multiple regime changes in the 20th century Central, East and Southeastern Europe. We invite scholars dealing with women’s life writing in the region, with special focus set on the 20th century Croatian women intellectuals. The main aim of our workshop will be in detecting women’s agency in various kinds of their personal documents to observe present social, political, cultural and other implications of major societal transformations. We particularly welcome research on unpublished or disregarded women’s life writing.
